I am pleased to tell you that I have gained an invaluable tool in helping to alleviate many of the various symptoms of chronic Lyme disease, with the help of one of your long sleeve ThermoFlow shirts. 

My biggest complication is with poor circulation. My circulatory system had been badly damaged by Lyme, such that my veins visibly collapse when my arms are held above my head. Wearing the ThermoFlow shirt once every few days flushes my blood (in no uncertain terms!!) and increases my body's demand for fresh water.

Discovered by accident

We are compelled to report; we had no intention of producing a natural therapy product to help relieve the devastating symptoms cause by Lyme disease. It was through the personal research and testing of individuals suffering from this terrible affliction that the discovery was made.

"A little clarification for the purpose of your 
knowledge:  

One of the effects Lyme has on the circulatory system is that it causes platelet aggregation, otherwise known as 'sticky blood.'  This condition increases likelihood of blood clots, and also seriously affects blood pressure.  So anything that can healthily increase circulation in this case is a good thing.

In general Lyme is a very tough little bug.  Frighteningly, in my case I seem to have had a relatively mild form!  It is known as a CWD (cell-wall deficient) polymorphic, which means that its cell walls can change to any of several Lyme-specific proteins in order to evade the immune system - a crude but effective evolutionary development.  

Interestingly its Achilles heel seems to be that it cannot live above around 101-105*F.  Such temperatures kill much of the bacteria, and the remaining bacteria are immobilized and deformed.  

This would lend credence to my finding that longer treatment times are cumulatively better than shorter ones.  I would venture to say that far-infrared therapy, whether through ThermoFlow garments or infrared lamps (or both!), may also have an effect on the cystic-dormant form of the disease, through promoting elimination of wastes by microcirculation deep in tissues where antibiotics cannot reach.

Symptoms of Lyme Disease:

The symptoms of Lyme disease in humans occur in three stages. 

Stage one: 

• a distinctive target-shaped expanding red rash that usually develops at the site of the tick bite. The red circular patch (erythema migrans)  usually appears 3 - 30 days after the bite of the tick. 

• The circular rash is seen in 60-80% of infected cases (no rash is ever observed in 20-40 % of the cases).

• Spirochetes (slender, spiral, motile bacteria) can be visible from the outer edge of the rash. 

Stage two: 

Two or three days to several weeks after initial infection the spirochetes (bacteria) may spread through the blood stream into other body tissues.  Patient may experience one or more of the following symptoms: 

• headache 

• muscle and joint pain

• fever and chills

• fatigue 

• swollen lymph nodes 

• secondary skin lesions 

Stage three:

• Joint, tendon & muscle pain (intermittent)

• Meningitis - fever, stiff neck & headache

• Bell's palsy (partial facial muscles paralysis)

• Irregular heart beat

• Rheumatoid Arthritis pain & swelling in the knees & hips.

• Osteoarthritis conditions 

• Nerve numbness & tingling in hands or feet

• Memory lapse

• Mood Swings

• Insomnia

Some symptoms and signs of Lyme disease may not appear until weeks, months, or years after a tick bite. 

There are lots of different variations in how the symptoms show up. Many times they seem like other ailments and can be difficult to diagnose. Some people never get a rash while others may only have arthritis symptoms or may only feel tingling sensations in the extremities.
