Why do I have pain in my wrists?
Here are some possible
ailments that will cause you pain:
Bursitis in the wrist:
Small sacks of fluid called "bursae", lubricate tendons
as they move between the bones of the wrist. If a bursa is
exposed to repeated stress or trauma then it can become inflamed
and swollen causing pain in the wrist. This is a common
ailment with cyclists who repeatedly add weight and stress to
their wrists.
Symptoms include pain in the wrist especially when the wrist is bent back and you put your weight on it.
Some may see a small lump or swelling in the top of the wrist.
Thermoflow wrist bands have been very effective in relieve the
pain and discomfort and reduce the inflammation. For best
result we recommend wearing the Thermoflow Wrist Bans and
resting the injured wrist for a few weeks
Tendonitis:
Tendonitis is an over use injury that can
occur with over use of any muscle. Tendons attach the muscle to the bone.
Tendonitis is a wrist injury of the muscles that extend
(bend back) your wrist. Working at the
computer with your hand bent up toward you is a common cause
of this type of tendonitis.
Tenosynovitis:
An inflammation of a tendon and its enveloping
sheath (synovial sheath) Also called tendinous synovitis, tenovaginitis
is the tender swelling of the Tendons, rope or cord like
structures, connect muscles to bones.
Tenosynovitis can affect any tendon in the body but is possibly most commonly seen in the wrist and hand. The
wrist joint becomes stiff and painful. Tenderness and swelling over and around the inflamed tendon and tendon
sheath is sometimes warmer or hotter than the surrounding skin.
Kienbock Disease:
The vital blood supply to the Lunate bone in the wrist
is shut off and the Lunate bone progressively dies.
Our bodies have the ability to absorb dead
tissue and in this case... dead bone. As the bone is absorbed
the other bones in the wrist are no longer supported and start
to move out of place. The patient will feel a lot of pain if
the bones start rubbing against each other.
Through all stages of the diseases,
Thermoflow wrist bands will help to improve the circulation,
rejuvenate the cells and tissues that supply the blood flow to
the bones. In the more sever cases the Far Infrared wrist band
will help to relieve the pain and ease the discomfort.
Rheumatoid Arthritis in the
wrist:
This chronic inflammatory illness is an autoimmune disease.
Autoimmune disease is when the immune system attacks normal tissue components as if they were invading
germs or viruses.
The inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis primarily attacks the linings of the
joints of the hand, wrist and feet.
Patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis often suffer from cycles of severe and light symptoms.
Here are some symptoms to look for:
-
Joint swelling (small joints in hands and feet)
-
Joint tenderness, stiffness, and pain (Especially in the morning)
-
Hardened lumps (in joints)
Thermoflow Wrist Bands will help to reduce
the swelling, and relieve the pain in the wrists.
Use Thermoflow Wrist
